How to Make Use of Food You Usually Throw Away

It’s a delight to be looking for something (in this case, uses for banana peels which will be the subject for another blog – after I have tested the suggestions) and find a website with some really great money saving hints. Such was the case today when I happened upon a great money saving site – http://www.wisebread.com.

Andrea Karim, who writes for wisebread, had a great column in 2010 on how to stop throwing away your food. That post did not have the suggestions I thought it would have, but contained uses for things that REALLY do get thrown away – like carrot greens, cauliflower stems, radish greens, watermelon rinds and much more.
